The newly described languages were often so strikingly different from the well studied languages of Europe and Southeast Asia that some scholars even accused Boas and Sapir of fabricating their data.

词汇突破：

确定主干：这是一个带有结果状语从句的系表结构，主句系表结构的框架为：

The languages were so different from.. that …各种语言是如此的不同，以至于……

再次提醒各位：so…that… 结构中得that引导的就是一个结果状语从句;

(对了，昨天的句子中出现的than作为连接词，有同学问，为什么要用than,因为前面有further这个词啊。只是在翻译的时候，翻译了进一步，就不用翻译than为“比…” 了，我们太习惯要把每个词都对应的翻译了!这是不对的!)
